Christmastime, Christmastime

We spent the week of Christmas in Manitoba with Kelly's family. Along with playing lots of games and eating good food, we enjoyed the afternoon on Christmas Day at the neighbor's taking in their husky dogs! Not only are these dogs friendly but they're full of energy! The landscape of the surrounding area was gorgeous -- following freezing rain, snow had fallen and stuck to every single leaf, needle, and branch. It was breathtaking!

Blogging, as of late, has been put to the side...though time marches on!

We enjoyed a visit from Kaarin's parents and Glenn over American Thanksgiving in November. Activities included the guys taking in an Ottawa Senators hockey game (Mom and I enjoyed a movie and the night in!), walks around the neighborhood, Thanksgiving dinner, visiting the National Gallery of Canada (Art), and going out for some local Indian food!

After manicures, Mom and I enjoyed coffee and cupcakes at Ottawa's Flour Shoppe. Their cupcakes are the best!

We had some snow fall and melt that week, too -- so it meant faithful shovelling and chipping!
